Yes, you hear it over and over from me, that most people do not know what Online Marketing is! I mean real Online Marketing! Do you know what it is, or do you think you know what it is?

Most people think they know what it is, because they followed their up-line in their business opportunity and they follow to do what they do so they will make one day all that money they make! Or better said, they believe that this person makes all that money he or she are telling you. Well, this is may shocking to you, but most people in any MLM business opportunity are not making the money they are claiming, but slowly they start to make good money, because they become so good in selling their lies. They have a motto “Fake it until you make it!”

They are all good in selling people a dream, from getting fast rich, no financial problems any more and living a lifestyle of the rich people. Now, there is a big different of getting rich working on the Internet and getting quick rich scams!

Getting rich on the Internet are people who know what Marketing is, they have the product or service people want or need, and they are a real business with real customer service. And they are here for a long term! All this others who want you to join now or you will miss out to make that big money are only here to cash fast up and than they are off the Market! Or better said any business that is in pre-launch or launch a new business will be out off business before their first 3 years. Every other business that is already over 5 years on the market and don’t sell you a dream of getting quick rich is a real business. Again, good management of any business brings a business to success and can make the owners or partners wealthy. Again, real businesses are not here to cash fast up, they are here with a long-term goal and they offer good products or services and they improving their products or services all the time.

Now I said on the beginning that most people do not know what online marketing is and it is easy to spot it. Everyone that just put adds or comments of sales pitches on other people blogs, wall or spamming other mail box with it, should better quit before they lose all their money and respect of others included families and friends. Building a real online marketing business required research the trend of the market, analyzing of competitors and knowing your own strengths and weaknesses, knowing your goals and your competitors Strategies. As you see real marketing is about 80% research and analyzing and 20% taking the right action. And 0% of Sales Pitches of getting fast rich!

E-commerce is a cut throat business. You have to arm yourself with the proper know-how and the tools to make your site a cut above the rest. Each day, more and more sites are clambering to optimize their rankings in websites and if you lose your guard, you may just get trampled on and be left in the abyss filled with so many failed e-commerce sites.

Search Engine Optimization or SEO is a term widely used today by many e-commerce sites. For the past few years and the next ten years or so, search engines would be the most widely used internet tool to find the sites that they need to go to or the product or information they need.

Most people that use search engines use only the ten top search results in the first page. Making it to the first page, more so to the top three is a barometer of a sites success in search engine optimization. You will get a higher ratio of probability in being clicked on when you rank high. The more traffic for your site, the more business you rake in.

But, it is essential to grab a hold of that spot or make your ranking even better. As I aforementioned, each day is a new day for all e-commerce sites to make them selves rank higher using search engine optimization. It is imperative to make your site better and better everyday.

So just what is search engine optimization and do you have to use it? The answer to why you have to use it is an easy one. You need search engine optimization to be number one, or maybe at least make your site income generating.

With search engine optimization you can get the benefit of generating a high traffic volume. Let’s just say you get only a turn out of successful sales with 10 to 20 percent of your traffic. If you get a hundred hits or more a day, you get a good turn out of sales already. If you get only twenty to ten hits a day, you only get one or two if not any at all.

So once again, what is search engine optimization? Search engine optimization is utilizing tools and methods in making your site top ranking in the results of search engines. Getting yourself in the first page and better yet in the top half of the page will ensure that your site will generate public awareness of your site’s existence and subsequently generate more traffic, traffic that could lead to potential income and business.

Search engine optimization requires a lot of work to be fully realized. There are many aspects you have to change in your site or add as well to get search engine optimization. These will include getting lots of information about the keyword phrases that are popular in regards to your sites niche or theme.

You may also need to rewrite your sites contents so that you could get the right keyword phrases in your site without making it too commercial but light and informative. There are certain rules and guidelines to be followed with making your site’s content applicable and conducive to search engine optimization.

You will also need to collaborate with many other sites so that you could get link exchanges and page transfers. The more inbound and outbound traffics generated by sites among others are one of the components search engines uses to rank sites.

Try to search the internet for many useful help. Tips, guidelines and methods for search engine optimization are plenty to be found. Read many articles that can help you optimize your site in search engine results. The more knowledge and information you gather the better. This will all help you in getting those high rankings. This may require a little time and effort in your part but the benefits will be astounding.

If you can part with some money, there are many sites in the internet that can help you in search engine optimization. There are many sites that help in tracking keyword phrases that can help your site. There are also some content writers that have lots of experience in making good keyword laden content for your sites that have good quality.

Act now and see the benefits garner with search engine optimization. All of these will result to better traffic and more business for your site and company.

The answer to this question depends on who you are asking it to. Some marketers believe that online advertising is creating an ad and submitting it using an automatic online ad submission system. Others will tell you that the only way to get consistent traffic to you website or blog is to buy (PPC) pay per click ads from Google, Yahoo, Bing and other major search engines.

Other marketers use press releases and article marketing to get the word out. Many web sites and blogs will even sell you advertising space on their sites. AdSense is another form of advertising that will pay you for placing ads on your web sites or blogs. Google AdSense is simple to set up all you do is copy and paste a specific code on your web site or blog and when visitors come to your site and they click on one of those ads you are paid a small percentage.

I almost forgot about cooperative marketing.

Cooperative marketing can be explained in lots of various ways and be different for each individual or business. Cooperative marketing and online advertising can consist of partnerships your business or any company develops with another business or organization. Marketing and advertising relationships can be an excellent means to exploding your target market. Thus creating a powerful, efficient and exciting new marketing campaign for your business.

Then you have some other forms of online advertising that in my opinion are not very effective; like using safelists to blast your ad out and traffic surfing sites that just send hits to your links and try to fake out the Google spiders.

Whatever venue of advertising you are using if there is no audience for what you are promoting it will not matter how good your articles are or how good your online advertising system is. I prefer the online advertising that pays me a small percentage like Google AdSense but is much different.

Is Procrastination Holding You Back?

When you look at your marketing to-do list, do many of the items on it look all too familiar? Have entries like call Donna Sanchez and follow up with Floyd Corp been copied from a previous week? Putting off unappealing tasks may be human nature, but for an entrepreneur, procrastination can be deadly.

Delays in contacting a prospect can lose the business to the competition. Failing to get the word out about an upcoming event may forfeit dozens of opportunities. Wasted marketing time can never be recovered. By the time you realize you might not make your goal for the month, quarter, or year, it may already be too late.

Finding tasks on your to-do list week after week is a clear sign you are procrastinating, but it is not always this obvious. Can you identify with any of these situations?

Feelings of overwhelm. You have a backlog of work that seems insurmountable. You wake up in the morning already thinking about everything you must accomplish that day. It seems impossible to get it all done. If you are routinely unable to complete what is on your list in the time available, you may be creating the problem yourself by putting tasks off week after week.

Making excuses. You find yourself constantly having to make excuses to your business buddies, referral partners, potential clients, or even your coach about why you never followed up on that great referral, that important sales call was not made, the marketing package was not sent, or the proposal was not written. After a while, the excuses begin to sound flimsy, even to you.

Trivial pursuits. You notice that you are doing unimportant chores, rearranging your desk drawers, filing old business cards, shopping for just the right desk, surfing the Net, while neglecting crucial marketing activities.

Overflowing pipeline. A form of procrastination unique to entrepreneurs and salespeople is continuing to develop new leads instead of contacting the prospects you already have. If you are spending more time attending networking events or reviewing lists of names than getting on the phone, putting your fingers to the keyboard, or driving to appointments, this problem may be yours.

If you ARE procrastinating, what then? Begin to change this habit by getting in touch with your motivation to do better. What rewards, tangible and intangible, do you get from your work? Remind yourself of that payoff on a daily basis. Post a picture or note that represents those rewards to you on your calendar, phone, or dashboard.

Break down each of the activities you are having trouble with into small steps. Pick what seems like the easiest place to start, and block out time on your calendar to make a beginning. You may find that once you are taking action, the rest seems much less difficult than you had feared.

If you find that you really do have too much on your plate to have enough time for marketing, it is essential that you cut back on some of your other activities immediately. A business without marketing is not a business; it is a hobby.

Create more accountability for yourself by telling a buddy, support group, or coach exactly what you plan to get done each week. Ask them not to accept any excuses from you, and to remind you why you said you were doing all this in the first place. You can partner in this way with a colleague by setting up a weekly check-in where each of you reports to the other.

It may take time to break the procrastination habit, so give yourself permission to fail a few times. Remember that even a small amount of progress may be allowing you to achieve more than you ever have before.

Today I attended a webinar hosted by Veretekk's marketing Director Butch Hamilton and he was talking about examining where your target market is situated. Many people make the mistake of advertising globally when they are only offering goods and services locally.

I remember some years ago working with a company that started a GoLocal advertising campaign which turned out to be highly successful as each distributor targeted their own particular area rather than nationally or globally.

Google technology brought local search to the forefront in the past year so you can set now set your search default to any particular town to obtain results which are more likely to be of use to you.

If you are operating a local business online it can be beneficial to include the name not only as a title but also in the name of the website. I have done this myself successfully in the past when selling property with a site called apartmentforsalekotakinabalu. A daily advertising campaign was set up on the Internet using my marketing tools and within two months I had completed the sale of my property.

When you are setting out your next advertising campaign consider your local options you might be surprised by the results.
